Bag Factory Residents Exhibition and Walkabout

The Bag Factory Residency Artist's Exhibition featuring Ricky Burnett, Chike Chinazom and Anannias Dago opened on the 17th of September and was followed by an artists' walkabout on Wednesday the 19th. Both events were well attended.

DISONANCIAS call for research proposals from international artists

DISONANCIAS calls for proposals from international artists to work on research projects in nine companies and investigation centres in Spain between November 2007 and July 2008.

Artists are requested to develop a prototype, procedure or idea based on a framework predefined by one of the nine participating companies. The concepts they want to investigate have mainly to do with architecture, urbanism, and with relation or communication spaces.

The selected artists or group of artists will each receive:
8,000 net euros as a fee for the work carried out and to include their travel and accommodation costs.

Call for Applications for the 2008 Residencies in Fine Arts and Sound Art

Annually, the Kuenstlerhaeuser Worpswede offers residential grants to artists practicing in Fine arts and Sound art. Successful applicants will gain access to one of ten studio apartments (between 40 to 117 squared metres) and a monthly maintenance grant of 1400 EUR. Besides the regular presentation of works produced in the studios both within and outside Worpswede, there are also, on a discursive level, artists’ discussions, workshops and symposia on artists’ support, which take place at the Barkenhoff.

Any professional artist may apply for a grant from Künstlerhäuser Worpswede. There are no restrictions regarding nationality or age. An adequate command of the German or English language is mandatory however a German language course is available. The successful applicants are expected to live and work in Worpswede during the grant period.

Application fee: 15 euros
