The Bag Factory seeks to fill three, three month internships

The Bag Factory is looking for suitable individuals to fill three, three month part-time internships at the artists’ studios. The interns will be involved with three specifically focused aspects of the running of the organization:

- Administration
- Education Programme/Exhibition Logistics
- Marketing, Design and Website

Administrative Intern

The administrative intern will be required to assist in the day to day running of the office including answering phones, running errands and assisting on the running of the international residency programme.

Requirements:

Passionate about the Arts and a keen interest in arts management
Computer Literate
Familiar with MS Office: Word; Excel, Outlook etc.
Good Communications Skills
Basic competency in office work
Self Motivated
Own transport a benefit

Education/Exhibition Intern

The education programme/exhibition logistics intern will be required to assist the education officer in the facilitation of educational workshops as well as help co-ordination exhibition logistics.

Requirements:

Computer Literate
Familiar with MS Office: Word; Excel, Outlook etc.
Good Communications Skills
Self Motivated
Own transport a benefit
Experience in workshop/exhibition co-ordination a plus

Marketing, Design and Website

Computer Literate
Familiar with MS Office: Word; Excel, Outlook etc.
Basic experience with design programmes: Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Freehand
Good Communications Skills
Self Motivated
Commercial experience with print and web design a plus

The Marketing, Design and Website Intern will be required to assist the digital co-ordinator in the management of content and updates for the website and e-newsletter as well as assisting on the compiling of the marketing and design for the residency programme.

Remuneration will be discussed during the interview process.
